4.  IAPT Board:  The Board meets about once a month in the Cedar Rapids vicinity on Monday evenings.  Our main focus is to continue planning for play therapy training opportunities in Iowa.  We continue to work on volunteer opportunities and development of IAPT. You may email me directly at schmitzsusan@gmail.com or the board via our website to learn more about how you may be able to contribute to our branch organization.

5.  Collaboration:  IAPT continues to work on partnering with neighboring branches in the spirit of joint growth and organizational health.  Look for e-mail notifications and information in these bulletins about conferences and workshops available in nearby states.

6.  Membership:  IAPT received Gold Branch Status for 2010!  Thank you for your membership!  This year we increased our membership by 16.9%!  Please continue to pass on information about our organization to those who may have an interest in play therapy—our organization becomes stronger as we grow members.  You can join at http://www.a4pt.org/ps.join.cfm?ID=1153.

7.  Research:  IAPT is discussing the possibility of funding research to be done in the field of play therapy.  It is very important for research to be completed to help with the integrity of our field.  Please contact the board if you have any interest in this topic.

Thank you for your attention, consideration, and membership.
